ORIF Patellar Sleeve Fracture
From Bryan Tompkins
Patellar sleeve fractures are the most common patella fracture in children. A variety of fracture morphologies and fixation types are described. This video outlines a common fixation method for the most common fracture pattern: trans-osseous non-absorbable suture fixation through patellar drill holes, for a comminuted osteochondral fracture at the inferior pole.
